Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at our school?
I am Miss Donkin and I work as a Year 2 teacher in the school with Chimps class. I am also the Spanish coordinator.
What did you study at University?
I studied both English and History with a diploma in international studies as I worked in Spain for a year alongside my degree.
What were your favourite subjects at school?
Spanish and English were my favourite subjects. Both teachers were inspiring and encouraged a love of learning.
What did you do before you were a teacher?
I worked as a language assistant in Spain and as an activity instructor in France teaching archery, low ropes and orienteering. I was also a waitress whilst training to be a teacher and studying at university.
What do you like to do out of school?
I love to be outdoors. I spend a lot of time going for runs and doing Canicross (running with dogs). I have entered a lot of competitions with them this winter which I am looking forward to because there are a lot of trail races through forests and pretty places. I also love to go visit my niece and nephew who are 6 and 8 years old. We spend a lot of time exploring and doing different craft activities.
What's your favourite meal?
I love to cook. My favourite meal to make is a roast dinner or Romano chicken which is in a homemade tomato and cream sauce. I do love Chinese food.
Is there anything you really don't like?
I am terrified of heights and roller coasters.
