Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at our school?
I am Mrs Gregg and I teach Year 1 Badgers. I have the responsibility of coordinating the teaching of phonics in school.
What did you study at University?
I loved dance and drama when I was at school and so I went on to study this at University. I then did an MA in dance studies. I retrained as a teacher several years later in Cambridge.
What were your favourite subjects at school?
I loved geography and English. My love of the Lake District resulted from a field trip when I was doing my A Level in geography.
What did you do before you were a teacher?
I worked in a university dance department after graduation and then moved to Holland. When my two sons started school, I began to work in a Dutch international school and caught the teaching bug!
What do you like to do out of school?
I enjoy cooking, going to the theatre, spending time with my family and my mad pets – a cat and a dog - and I love travelling. I have a long list of all the places I’d like to visit if I ever have the money and the time! I have recently ticked Japan and America off my wish list.
What's your favourite meal?
I love a good Thai curry (fish or veggie – no meat), or Indian saag paneer or a nice comforting jacket potato with cheese and pickle.
Is there anything you really don't like?
Ironing, bathing the dog and watching golf or football.
