The government expectation for mainstream, state-funded primary schools in England is a minimum 32.5 hours per week (equivalent to roughly 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday). This includes morning registration, teaching time, breaks, lunch, and enrichment activities.

School Start Times

Daily 8.45am start for all classes

Gate opening arrangements

EYFS - Y6

The school gates open at 8.25am and the children need to line up outside their classrooms at 8.35am when the whistle is blown.  The gates will close at 8.40am; the children will be sat ready for learning at 8.45am.

If you arrive late and the gates are locked, the children will need to be brought into school via the school office by an adult, where they will be signed in, the reason for lateness is recorded and they will be taken to their classroom.  

If you arrive late to collect your child, they will be taken to Wraparound Care and will need to be collected from there, where a cost may occur.

Lunch Times

EYFS: 11.40am - 12.45pm

Years 1 & 2: 11.50am - 12.45pm

Years 3 – 5: 12.00pm - 12.55pm

Year 6 - 12.05pm -12.55pm

School Finish Times

EYFS - 3.15pm.

Years 1 & 2 -3.20pm.

Years 3 – 6 - 3.25pm.
