Lunch
School Meals
The school manages it's own kitchen. This offers excellent service and meals are freshly cooked on the premises.
Meals must be paid for in advance. All money should be sent to school in a named envelope or purse with a paying-in slip provided by school. Each day there is a choice of up to three set meals. Our menus are regulated to ensure they meet healthy dietary standards.
Free School Meals
Some children are entitled to free lunches. Children of parents receiving Income Support are entitled to free meals and the school’s Clerical Assistant will be happy to help you and provide a claim form. Claiming free school meals where entitled also has benefits for the school budget and we encourage all eligible families to apply.
Packed Lunches
Parents are welcome to send packed lunches with their child/children. Please ensure that these are in a container with your child’s name on. Drinks should be in a carton or plastic container with a straw or cup. Please do not send bottles or cans. Fizzy drinks can present problems.
Children are able to buy milk or fruit juices at lunch time and drinking water is freely available. Children bringing packed lunches will eat either in the dining room or in a classroom.
We have achieved a "Healthy Schools" status and encourage children to eat healthily.
Snacks for Break
Children are welcome to bring fruit to eat at break. The national fruit scheme operates in school. All children in Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1 are given "free fruit" each day.
