Our Community
We aim to work in partnership with parents and be an active part of the village community. Children’s needs are best served when school and home work together. We ask parents to support their child’s learning at home through reading and various homework activities.
Many parents and grandparents are able to help in school in various ways and the staff appreciate offers of help, e.g. hearing readers, sharing experiences in history and geography.
The school likes to play an active part in the community and to help children to realise their responsibilities to the neighbourhood. Children take part in various activities such as carol singing to the elderly and donating food after Harvest. Pupils often suggest charitable acts themselves (such as the Blue Peter Appeal) and will arrange events together.
We are supported by the EYE SCHOOL ASSOCIATION, you can read more about them by following this link. You may also wish to find out more about the PRE-SCHOOL AND CARE CLUB.
