Welcome to Early Years! 

We are excited to welcome all of our new starters into Reception for their half day sessions on Thursday 3rd September & Friday 4th December.

For half day sessions, the times are as follows:

Morning sessions: 9.00am - 12.30pm (packed lunch required)

Afternoon sessions: 1.30pm - 3.10pm

Our first full day of school is on Monday 7th September. 

Your Early Years team this year are; Mrs Stewart, Mrs Finch, Mrs Thorpe, Miss Oliver, Mrs Sullivan, Mrs Dean.

 Autumn 1 Curriculum

Starting school is a huge and exciting milestone. Our goal is to make your child's first year happy, safe, and full of fun! During this first term our focus will be on getting to know the children better, talking with them about their likes and interests and learning our classroom routines.

We begin our learning journey with the topic of 'Me & My World', where we will be talking about our homes and families as well as exploring our new environment. In phonics lessons, we will explore sounds and letters as we begin to build words. In maths, we will be exploring numbers to 5 and thinking about the different ways we can see and make them. In English, we will learn the story of Peace at Last as well as enjoying a range of rhymes.

⚠️ All earrings and jewellery must be removed before coming to school on P.E., Forest School and swimming days.
