ESA Summer Term Update 2017
The Eye School Association committee would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the parents, carers and teachers for your support this year. We have held numerous fundraising events throughout the year which have added to the fund for the swimming pool renovations. We are happy to say that the total amount being paid to the school for this project is £26,000.00!! The work should be underway in the Autumn term. We can’t wait for the children’s reaction once the work has been completed and of course to show you the difference your money and support has made.
Further money is being spent on some hills and a tunnel in the Key Stage 1 playground and further improvements to the Key Stage 2 area.
A provisional calendar for next year’s events is on the ESA notice board (located at the school gate) and as always, any help is greatly received.
The Eye School Association' is a voluntary fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and some of the staff. It helps provide all those little extras that enhance the children's lives in school.
All parents automatically become members of the Eye School Friends Association when their child joins the school. The social and fund raising events are organised by the energetic and successful Eye School Association as they continue to provide money for much needed facilities and resources for the children. Most activities are designed to be family events.
Summer & Christmas Fayres
Through such events, we have raised funds in the last few years. These funds have enabled the school to provide extra, valuable resources for the children to use.
How can you help?
The success depends entirely on the support of all parents, staff and the community. We greatly appreciate any assistance. This can be anything from a little time spent helping out in the background, to coming along to the functions with friends and family or by joining the Eye School Association.
Share your fund raising ideas with us, we are always open to new ideas and welcome any suggestions from an idea for a stall at the Fayres to a suggestion for a whole event.
Donations play a very big role in our fundraising efforts. We are not just talking about the very important pound for own-clothes day, but prize donations for raffles and competitions, as well as time for wrapping the lucky dip items or secret presents.
Maybe you work for a company who discards goods when they can’t be sold or would negotiate a great price for items we can sell or put in our lucky dips?
The school is indebted to the work of the Eye School Friends’ Association and all the parents who support our school. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for such fantastic support!
