Mrs Stewart

Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at our school?

Hi! I’m Mrs Stewart and I am a Year 1 teacher in Owl's class. I started working at Eye C of E Primary School in September 2016 and I am thoroughly enjoying my experience!

What did you study at University?

I studied a BA Childhood and Youth Studies degree at The Open University. I completed this degree part time over the course of six years, which meant that during the day I still had time to do what I love most- teaching children! I then went on to train to become a teacher and completed my PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste University!

What were your favourite subjects at school?

My favourite subjects in school were Maths and P.E-Netball in particular! I used to be involved in many sports clubs at school and played for the schools Netball team. Once I had left school, I then joined a local Netball team to continue my love of the sport!

What did you do before you were a teacher?

Before I became a teacher, I worked full time at Holme C of E Primary School as a Teaching Assistant. I also ran an after school care club four evenings a week and often volunteered at a local SEN youth club.

What do you like to do out of school?

I love spending time with my family and friends outside of school! In particular, I spend a lot of time in either Cambridge or London with my husband, drinking coffee or eating out at restaurants! I also love travelling and I try to visit other places as often as possible. This year I have spent time in Belgium, France, Portugal, Singapore and Bali and I am hoping to get away again before the end of 2016!

 What's your favourite meal?

I love noodles, but to be honest, I love most food!

Is there anything you really don't like?

Although I love travelling, I am terrified of flying!

Can you describe yourself in one adjective?

Organised!
