Miss West

Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at our school?

Hello! My name is Miss West and I have been employed at Eye Primary for the past seven years. I co-teach Year 3 Sharks with Miss Scane on a part-time basis. I will have the pleasure of teaching the children on a Thursday and Friday.

What did you study at University?

I have a degree in Education Professional Studies which I recently completed with Bishop Grosseteste University. 

What were your favourite subjects at school?

When I was at school, I enjoyed a range of subjects but my favourite subjects were PE and Maths.

What did you do before you were a teacher?

Previously, I worked at Coca Cola for 12 years, ensuring all the shops had a good supply of Coca Cola products! In 2017 I completed my Level 3 teaching assistant qualification at Eye Primary and since then have progressed to become a teacher.

What do you like to do outside of school?

Outside of school I like to socialise with my family and friends. I enjoy going out for nice meals and exploring lots of new places. 

What's your favourite meal?

I love all food! If I had to choose then my favourite would be pasta. 

Is there anything you really don't like?

Snakes - They petrify me! They are my biggest fear!!
