School Clubs

We offer many after school clubs as below.  

 

AUTUMN TERM 2022 - 12th September - 21st December

 

Reception

 

Stay and Play - We will be playing games and making friends while we practice our skills in different areas of learning such as arts and crafts, speaking & listening, construction and role- play.

Years 1 & 2

 

Film Club - Children will watch a film and enjoy some popcorn/biscuits.

Years 1 & 2

 

Mindfulness - Mindfulness club will provide a calming opportunity for children to wind down and reflect on their day through discussion, colouring, yoga and relaxing music

Years 1 & 2

 

Travel Club - Travel Club will transport the children to various cities, countries and continents around the world. We will learn a little about other cultures, languages and even get to taste some local specialities! Our first session will see us each create a passport and plan our journey.

Years 1 & 2

Ipad Club - IPad club is a fun chance for the children to access educational games such as NumBots, TTRockstars and Spelling Shed; along with the chance to explore a range of photo and video editing software.

Years 2 & 3

Multi Skills - A club that will support children to develop and practice movement and ball skills, involving mini games and skill based activities.

Years 3 & 4

 

Brick Buddies (LEGO) - In our Brick Buddies club, as well as following instructions and collaboratively building with LEGO®, the children are given the opportunity to free style with LEGO®, either individually or in pairs, letting their creativity, imagination and self-expression flow!

Years 3 & 4

 

Art Club - Art club is a chance for children to explore being creative! The club will mainly focus on drawing, and will include tutorials that the children can watch and follow to create pictures of their choice. It isn't about being the best at art, it is about doing something they enjoy, and learning new skills with their friends!

Story & Craft - Children will be able to create crafts based around different stories throughout the term.

Year 3 & 4

 

Football - Football club is for Y3 & 4 children who are interested in football, or who just want to be active and learn a new sport! In these sessions, we will practise the basics of football for part of the time through simple training techniques, and then finish with some small-sided games. Bring your PE kit - but don’t buy any expensive equipment!

Years 3 & 4

Netball - A fun club that will continue to develop and practice our netball skills that we all learnt in year 2. Involving mini games and skill based activities.

Years 3-6

 

Choir - Do you love singing in the rain...bath...shower...car...or any other place that you can think of?

Would you like to sing as part of our school singing community?  There are many benefits of singing and we would love to welcome you to join our KS2 choir and come together to create special pieces for performance and put a smile on other people's faces!

Mindfulness - Mindfulness Club is all about taking some time towards the end of the school week to relax and have fun in a calm way. Each week, we will spend time completing an activity to help us feel content such as colouring, drawing or spending time outdoors.

Social Action Club - Social action club is an opportunity for you to make a difference. Do you feel passionately about solving problems in our local community and improving the quality of people’s lives? At social action club we will learn more about what this means and how we can work together to bring about change. Whether you feel strongly about the environment, climate change, homelessness, equality, social injustice or any other local or world issues- this is a place for your voice to be heard and a chance to act.

Film Club - Children will watch a film and enjoy some popcorn/biscuits.

   Years 4&5                                         Forest school - Experience forest school in a smaller Group, learn how

                                                            to make a fire using resources from the forest, whittling, potions                                                                          knots, shelter building, tree climbing, and woodwork.

Years 4, 5 & 6

 

Story Club - Come and enjoy a special story each week with Miss Reed. There will be opportunities to read and explore a variety of books, create stories and read to others. Biscuits and squash will be provided

Girls Football - A club that will support children to develop and practice football skills, involving mini games and skill based activities.

Years 5 & 6

 

Maths Club - Come and join Maths club where we can improve our skills through exciting maths games. We will also practice any skills that you may want to improve on further.

Years 5 & 6

Homework Club - In homework club, you can complete any home learning that you wish to do. This may include Times Table Rockstars, Complete Maths, Spelling Shed or reading. Miss Canham will be there to support with any this and will be able to help you with your home learning if needed.

Code Club - Code club is a voluntary initiative founded in 2012. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for all children to develop coding skills. Coding skills, also known as programming skills, referring to the art of using various programming languages to write commands, instruct a computer, application, or software program.

Football - A club that will support children to develop and practice football skills, involving mini games and skill based activities.

Years 5 & 6

 

Media Club - Media club is for children to explore different apps using iPads and Chromebooks to create short films or a magazine.

Year 6
