Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at our school?

Hello, I’m Miss Canham and I am teaching in Year 5 for the third year after spending two years in Year 3. This is my fifth year of teaching at Eye Primary and I am really looking forward to spending the year with Giraffe class! This year, I will continue to lead mathematics in upper key stage two, from year 4 to year 6- which I am very excited about! 

What did you study at University?

I have a degree in Primary Education with QTS (Ba Hons), which I studied at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.

What were your favourite subjects at school?

When I was at school, I enjoyed a variety of subjects but my favourite subjects were English and History as I really loved writing and enjoyed finding out about the past.

What did you do before you were a teacher?

Before I became a teacher, I worked as a shop assistant during sixth form and university.

What do you like to do out of school?

Outside of school I like to spend time with family and friends. This includes going out for dinner, spending time together on days out and going shopping! I also love to take my dog out for long walks round country parks.

What's your favourite meal?

This is a very hard question, as there is so much choice, but if I had to choose it would probably be something Mexican- either tacos or burritos.

Is there anything you really don't like?

Spiders! I don’t think I will ever be a lover of spiders.
